7’s WILD (AND 8’s WILD)

7’s Wild is a Deuces Wild variation. As the name implies all 7’s are wild instead of all 2’s. There is also an 8’s Wild version. The payout table is usually the same as a full-pay Deuces Wild machine. The long-term payback for this machine is 98.8%. Why such a difference from Deuces Wild? The reason is the value of wild cards in possible Straight Flushes and Straights. There are only two possible straights that include a 2: A-2-3-4-5 and 2-3-4-5-6. If you are drawing to a 3-4-5-6 in Deuces Wild, the 2 loses its wild value. There are five possible Straights that include a 7: 3–7, 4–8, 5–9, 6–10 and 7–J. The same is true for 8’s.
